My journey began on Snapchat in 2016, covering stories ignored by mainstream media. This led to a Shorty Award nomination in 2018, signaling a demand for overlooked stories. I went on to create 'Origins' for Red Bull, showcasing the roots of extreme sports and their cultural impacts.

Through my travels, I document stories from diverse regions, revealing shared narratives despite cultural differences. Faultline aims to foster curiosity and understanding, countering fear and division.

The Greek Village That Won't Die

•

In 2015, residents of Sfendili on the Greek island of Crete were forced to vacate their homes as their village was submerged. They believed their sacrifice was a lifeline for the rest of the island. Today, Sfendili has resurfaced, prompting Andy to visit and connect with former residents to understand why Greece aims to drown this village.

Hi, I'm Andy, and I believe greater understanding leads to less division. In 2022, I launched Faultline to highlight stories from overlooked people and places, aiming to shift our global perspective. My filmmaking began on Snapchat in 2016, capturing stories often ignored by mainstream media. These stories encouraged me to focus the camera on others, leading to a Shorty Award nomination in 2018.

This path led me to create 'Origins' for Red Bull, a documentary series exploring the roots of extreme sports through communities that shaped them. My reporting journey has taken me to varied places, from the Arctic to the Middle East, across Eastern Europe, South Asia, the US, and forgotten communities in the UK. Everywhere, a common thread of storytelling emerges, revealing that real conversations discover common ground and new knowledge.

Faultline serves as a platform for stories from unexpected places. I travel to where stories exist, listen closely, and share my findings, advocating for curiosity over fear and changing our worldview. Join this journey.

Hello, I'm Andy. I believe understanding each other can reduce division. In 2022, I launched Faultline to document stories from overlooked people and places, aiming to change perspectives.

My filmmaking journey began on Snapchat in 2016, where I discovered stories in mostly ignored regions. In 2018, my work earned a Shorty Award nomination, indicating an audience for these stories. This led to creating 'Origins' for Red Bull, a documentary series highlighting the origins of extreme sports through overlooked communities, reshaping global culture.

My reporting has taken me to regions experiencing profound change, from the Arctic to the Middle East, Eastern Europe, South Asia, the United States, and forgotten communities in the UK. Across these diverse landscapes, I've found a common thread: everyone has stories they want to share. Through real conversations, we discover common ground and learn new things. Unfortunately, inside our algorithmic bubbles, curiosity is often replaced with fear.

Faultline is my response: a platform for stories from unexpected places. Wherever possible, I travel to those stories, listen closely, and share my findings. Choosing curiosity over fear alters our worldview. I invite you to join this journey.
